Understanding the Story:
Boston Scientific, a pioneer in the less-invasive medical device industry, wanted to help users better understand the features of its Latitude® Patient Management System online tool, while making this very clinical, data-driven web site more dynamic and appealing.
Crafting and Telling the Story:
To better deliver the Latitude story, an on-line tutorial program was implemented. The program featured video and audio demos of the Latitude program and allowed users to jump to any part of the tutorial at any time.
Sight created a promotional introductory video and a menu-driven interface that could display streaming videos and images created from the Latitude’s program. The menu items were presented in a “carousel” format, which allowed the buttons to rotate on a circular path, visually highlighting Latitude’s tag line: “360 degrees of care.”
The Story’s Impact:
The tutorial has become a more accessible and used resource. The new approach provides an intuitive and engaging way to learn about Latitude’s features and capabilities. The modular architecture of the tutorial allowed for quick content updates, and the framework of the interface has the potential to be enhanced with tracking capabilities.
